We Must Seek Wisdom

10 Comments

My child, if you accept my words
    and treasure up my commandments within you,
 making your ear attentive to wisdom
    and inclining your heart to understanding;
 if you indeed cry out for insight,
    and raise your voice for understanding;
 if you seek it like silver,
    and search for it as for hidden treasures—
 then you will understand the fear of the Lord
    and find the knowledge of God.
 For the Lord gives wisdom;
    from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
 he stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
    he is a shield to those who walk blamelessly,
 guarding the paths of justice
    and preserving the way of his faithful ones.  Proverbs 2:1-8

My brothers and sisters in Christ, we are living in deceptive, dark times.

There are many things that are happening in our country, in Christ’s Church, and in the whole world that our eyes, heart and conscience tell us are evil.  At the same time, the darkness is working through every nook and cranny of our culture, attempting to override reality and fill us with confusion, fear, bitterness, despair and a spirit of submission to the great lie of Satan.

Satan wants us to believe that all is lost. He wants us to believe that the government can solve all of our problems…that we don’t need Almighty God.

Satan wants us to submit to the confusion of our sexuality, and what marriage truly is.

Satan wants us to give up on the One True Catholic Church…because of the evil he has planted there through his infiltration.

Satan is working through the Covid19 virus…attempting to separate us from our family, friends, and our communal worship of the One True God.

Satan is working through lost souls that are attempting to spread their mental and spiritual anguish to all of us.

I am here today to remind you… the devil is a liar.  Do not give in to his deceptive tactics.  He is working under the false impression that he is winning the battle…and is not even hiding himself.  He is counting on the fact that we are not aware of The Truth…which is that Jesus is our Savior, and as long as we seek The Truth…which is God The Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we are protected from Satan’s deception.

You see, Satan wants nothing more than YOUR SOUL with him in hell. Turn your eyes away from the lies and evil, and place your gaze and trust upon Jesus.

The evil is being revealed in more ways everyday, and through eyes that see, and ears that hear, we can discern who is a child of God, and who is a child of Satan.

Which are you?  It’s time for a choice.

Give yourself to Jesus…seek His wisdom and knowledge.  Ask for faith and eyes to see. Let the Lord know that you belong to Him, and invite Him to fill your heart and soul with His love.  When you do that, He will guide you to the ways you are meant to serve Him and His Kingdom.

We need to SEEK.

Ask the Lord to lead you, and then look for the ways that He reaches out to you. When someone refers a book or podcast, take the time to read, watch or listen. (always use discernement regarding the source) Pray. Attend Mass in person. Receive the sacraments. Pray the Rosary…pray for our country, the world, the Church.  Pray for yourself, your spouse, your family and friends.  Pray for those in despair or under Satan’s spells of deceit and confusion. Pray for the Pope and for those in the religious life. (many leaders of the Church are deceived) Pray for our government and the conversion of sinners…especially those that are standing for issues that greatly offend Almighty God.

The time for complacency have come to an end.

Search for The Truth.  Give yourself to Jesus. Admit your weaknesses and sins.  Ask forgiveness and REPENT. Turn away from the sins that are keeping you from knowing the Truth.  Once you make the choice to seek God, you will never be the same.  You will KNOW Jesus, and you will carry Him in your heart and share Him with this sick, suffering world.

May God bless us and have mercy on us!

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Ephesians 6:12 – For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

2 Corinthians  4:4 – In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Ephesians 6:11  – Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly

  1. This is tremendous and so perfectly explained!

    “Our eyes, heart and conscience tell us are evil. At the same time, the darkness is working through every nook and cranny of our culture, attempting to override reality and fill us with confusion, fear, bitterness, despair and a spirit of submission to the great lie of Satan.”

    This excerpt got me thinking again what I had talked to a priest friend about a while back when I said something to the effect that Satan and demons are supposedly highly intelligent and so clever but my friend said no not necessarily they are more stupid than anything else! You just helped me put that into even better perspective now!

    Because the father of all lies is just that only an extremely weak liar, and needs to trick people into thinking they are weak and powerless playing off their fears or lack of Jesus and the light; because we are quite the contrary or so far from his weakness! He lost God and the heavenly powers that Jesus conveys to us via the Holy Ghost and we God’s children are still of the light and He loves us, so we belong to Him and His power is available to us when we are aligned with Jesus Christ, who always leads with His right hand and also sends us the Comforter to help us see and understand the things we must, to stay on our path to heaven.

    When we are in this state of grace and keeping Jesus front and center the Devil and any demon run away in a panic so fearful and shaken that they stay away and seek easy prey; those that are lost and not seeking God and Truth or the light; so we must pray for all those souls that are in such jeopardy, and they can be saved we pray! Amen.
    God bless you and yours!

    Thank you my Sister in Christ Jesus!

  2. This is a beautiful reflectio and I’m happy to have come across it.

    Seek the Truth. Pray for eyes to see and the ears to hear….of which Our Lord often spoke.

    Many of us in Canada don’t have regular or easy access to the Sacraments yet.
    But no one can take your rosary away. So it’s up to each of us to pay heed to Our Lady, as well as so many Saints throughout the ages; and say it daily.

    At 68 I’m ashamed it took me so long to come to understand and experience the power of this devotion.
    I’ve said it daily (with very few exceptions) for a little over a year now.
    And while it has not yet made a saint of me, Our Blessed Mother has most definitely opened my eyes to see more clearly where I’d been missing the Truth in my life.
    We grow complacent so easily. Saying the Rosary, with focus and intention over time, cannot fail but prompt us to begin to see the areas in our lives that need more effort to make progress.
    I forget who said it but have found that it true that if you dedicate yourself to this practise with sincerity, you will either begin to change for the better, or you will stop saying the Rosary.
    It is a powerful weapon against the world, our flesh and the devil. And the promises made by Our Blessed Mother are not idle words.
    If you doubt this, commit to saying The Rosary every day for month (preferably while kneeling).
    I can’t imagine that your eyes will not be opened to help you see more clearly what needs to change in your life.
    If you’re serous about doing God’s Will, continue saying it to attain The Grace you need to both remain within and accomplish more fully God’s Will in your life.
    Prayer is the key and we are told to “Pray without ceasing”.
    Like any worthy thing, true prayer takes practise.
    Christ Himself said that attention to God is “the one thing needed”.
    All good follows and flows from sincere prayer; either your own or that of another whose prayer is unknown to you.

    Peace 🕊

  4. It is so easy to take our focus off of the Lord and just focus on what is happening around us, The past month has been like a raging storm out of control in my life with covid. First my husband was hospitalized at deaths door and I trusted God for a miracle, then next my Dad was hospitalized and put on a ventilator last week and Im trusting God for a miracle. I prayed the Lords prayer over him and prayed for healing but I also learned that I had to accept Gods will in this situation. Regardless of the outcome I had to say I look to you father God and I trust you whether you heal him or take him hime. Its like one day I woke up and the world went crazy and Im trying to remember where my focus belongs.

  5. Reblogged this on and commented:
    Amen sister! I believe in your message today and will only seek God during these tough times. If we rely on Satan, we will have no hope and death will creep at our door. As Christians, if we continue to put our trust and faith in God, we will be protected by the devil’s clutches. May grace and peace be with you and your family! 😀 Stay blessed! \O/

  7. We read repeatedly in Scripture not to fear. Trust in Providence. The Lord will lead us if we listen, put our trust in him, and do our best to follow God’s direction.
