The Reverence and Beauty of Worship

When I was a very young child, I experienced the beauty of the Traditional Catholic Latin Mass, and continued to remember all that was a part of that beauty throughout my life.

As the years went by, I missed the reverence of worship in the Mass, and some things that were being done at Masses did not sit right in my soul.  I did not understand how all of what I was seeing in different parishes were allowed to be inserted into The Holy Mass.  It was very confusing and troubling.

This Taylor Marshall podcast explains what has changed in the Holy Sacrifice of The Mass, and reminds us of the true reason for the Holy Mass and the Sacraments. I learned much from this interview, and pray that you might listen.  May God bless you and keep you in his care.

  1. Just coming across this post. Thank you for writing it! I recently saw Taylor at a gathering at my parish. I thanked him because it was his videos that were largely instrumental in helping me understand the need to come over to the trad side.

    • He is surely a blessing to many of us. I found him (and others) when the Churches were closed due to covid….I started seeking and The Lord lead me to good shepherds. I have learned so much, and of course there will always be more to learn about the Beauty of Catholicism.

Thank you for reading and commenting…it is good to meet you!

  3. Recently we go about 1/2 time to the Latin Mass. We have been to Charismatic masses, the Novus Ordo, and now the Latin Mass. In the process raised 8 children and home schooled them through to graduation. They all have kept their faith. Two are religious sisters, Capuchin and Dominican. Most of their time and education was Novus Ordo. Three of them are gravitating to the Latin Mass, one, avidly. Oddly enough its the youngest child. I like it a lot when my children and grandchildren grow beyond me.

    • God bless you and your family! Homeschooling 8 children is a wonderful accomplishment…of which you are seeing the fruit!

When I was a little girl, I attended Latin Masses and have always missed the beauty and reverence. Over the years I have seen things during Novus Ordo Masses that were troubling. Only since the Covid lockdowns have I learned about all the changes that occurred…and have also learned much about our faith.

Thank you for reading and commenting.

  4. As a Traditional Latin Mass devotee, I share your feelings. For me, there’s no going back to Novus Ordo. God bless you.
